Agonda Beach, Goa

Agonda is a great spot for sunbathing, relaxing and swimming, with still relatively few tourists. Agonda is a nice long pristine stretch of beach. Though the waters here might not be the most ideal place for swimming (you have better beaches with calm waters in Goa), Agonda is definitely a place for those who want to quit on a Monday morning. Most mobile connections do not work here (of those having SIM cards easily available to foreigners, only Vodafone does), so that is an added bonus for those looking forward to a quiet and relaxed holiday. Or, if you do need to party sometimes, Palolem is just 15 minutes by motorbike (10 km) away - but Agonda is generally cheaper, quieter, hassle-free and has much less "touristic" feel.
Cavelossim Beach, Goa

Situated in between the Arabian Sea and the Sal River, the Cavelossim beach looks extremely beautiful with the paddy fields in the backdrop and simply creates a lovely ambience. The contrast colors of the black lava rocks along with the white sand simply add its own splendor to this beach. It's a perfect destination in Goa that makes the beach vacation extremely pleasant and wonderful for globetrotters. It's an unstrained seaside village in southern Goa that is surrounded by few shack restaurants along the water, where on the other side the main road is lined up with market stalls and known as an abode of holy place-the cream & yellow Church of the Holy Cross.
Anjuna Beach, Goa

'Mother of all beaches' Folded up by azure water of Arabian Sea and with hills in the background, Anjuna Beach in Goa is a perfect paradise for beach lovers. Situated just 8 km away in the west of Mapusa town, this beach is blessed with a bizarre array of red laterite rocks. It is beautifully embellished with picturesque sceneries and so the place is reckoned among the hottest tourist destination of India. Further, its credible palms and rocky crescent give great pleasure to be at Anjuna Beach. It's distinguished due to the formation of unusual rock placed on a small inlet of white sand and black rock protruding into the sea. It's a complete package of tourist attractions that has a wide range of activities to offer. Chock-a-blocks with nature enthusiasts every year, the beach which always beckoned the tourist most is none other than Anjuna Beach tour.
Miramar Beach, Goa

Miramar beach is located at the mouth of the river Mandovi and is the closest beach to the city of Panaji.The beach has brush vegetation covering one side of the beach and empty sands on the other. Standing on the beach one can see barges transporting iron ore up and down the Mandovi river. Miramar beach is located 15 kms. from Mapusa and 3 kms. from Panaji. I In the evenings one can see pleasure catamarans running pleasure cruises down the river into the sea. Located on the road beside the beach is the Samadhi of Late Dr. Bhausaheb, Goa's first chief minister. There is also a small children's park next to it.
Alappuzha Beach, Kerla

Known as the Venice of the East, Alappuzha has always basked a major place in the maritime history of Kerala. Alappuzha (Alleppey) is a landmark between a network of rivers flowing into it and the Arabian Sea. Tourists visit here to hangout and relax as it has tremendous and tempting natural beauty all around. This place has huge network of freshwater rivers, meandering lakes, and lagoons. One can try adventurous activities at the beach like boating, or enjoy at children's park with toy bicycles or trains. Hallowed with natures green beauty and scenery, Alappuzha is a wonderland of Kerala state. Alappuzha beach is a famous picnic spot and so it's a favorite gateway for locals. Amusement amenities at the Vijaya Beach Park add charm to the beach. It houses the popular ancient pier that is approx.140 years old. Also, you can find an old lighthouse nearby Alappuzha beach which is very bewitching to visitors.
Konark Beach, Orissa

The serenity of the sea breeze and the pleasure of leisurely walking beside the calm or noisy sea is truly a memorable experience and it is realized in its full form as you visit the Konark Beach. Just 3 Km away from the Sun Konark Temple, Konark Beach in Odisha (Orissa) is a nirvana for a beach lover since a beach visitor can simultaneously bathe in the warmth of the sun and witness the beauty of sunrise or sunset. Another beautiful sight is that of the spotting fishermen, grossly involved in their daily chores with the fish.
Promenade Beach, Puducherry

The 1.5 km long promenade running along the beach is the pride of Puducherry. One can relax or take a stroll at any time of the day, though the best time would be early in the mornings and late evenings when the road is closed to vehicular traffic. This ensures that kids can run amok and people can enjoy the ambience without pollution and fear of speeding vehicles. Residents and tourists alike use the promenade for walking, jogging, skating and yoga as well.
